Buckland Chimney Sweeps is an old firm established in 1955 and is based in south East Kent. It has continued in the old-style traditional chimney Sweeping, servicing many older larger properties in the area. But is also trained in the use of the newer rotary system more suitable for wood burners and other appliances.

I have a background in the fire and rescue service so have a wealth of experience and knowledge in fire safety and the maintenance of chimneys and wood burners. I am also able to give advice on the best type of fuel or logs to be burnt which in turn minimises the risk of your flu or chimney getting blocked and advise on the type of fuel that should be used and other safety aspects in the home associated with any wood burning appliances.

The majority of our customers are loyal satisfied customers, we also receive a lot of customers through recommendations.

We am NACS registered, trained and qualified and work to the NACS industry code of practice.

Buckland Chimney Sweeps are fully insured and provide a NACS certificate on completion of each sweep which complies with house insurance guidelines.

We also have public liability insurance.

We aim to provide an efficient clean service, servicing Flues and Chimneys following NACS standards of practice.

 

• Each sweep will be clean and safe to customers, leaving the home clean after each sweep.


• A visual check will be done prior to each sweep.


• The Chimney will be smoke tested, and an insurance certificate will be provided after each sweep.


• Chimneys should be swept yearly for house safety and insurance purposes.


• We are able to remove birds’ nests and other pests if necessary.


• CCTV inspections are available.


• We can also maintain or provide chimney pots, cowls and vermin guards.

• Allow fire or wood burner to cool down by allowing 12 hours prior to visit.


• Remove ornaments from mantel piece.


• We will cover everything with our own sheeting.


• Allow space around fire or appliance to allow us to work and bring equipment.


• Our visit will be approximately 1 hour.
